The mybody® Science Portal brings together the scientific foundation behind the tests: a dedicated page for each type of test featuring genuine research literature, explained markers, transparent methodology, and honest limitations. The goal is traceability rather than marketing promises. Every cited study is linked with its year and source, and every quality statement is substantiated. The tests are intended for orientation and preliminary assessment and do not replace medical diagnosis.
Our Scientific Standards
Health content is only as good as its evidence. That is why we transparently document the basis of the evaluation for each type of test. This includes the markers or gene variants examined, the underlying studies with their year and link, the analysis method, and the quality and data protection standards.
It is equally important to understand what a test does not do. Each page includes a dedicated section on the method’s limitations and when medical evaluation is necessary. Where the scientific assessment of a procedure is cautious, we state this openly—even when we offer the test.

Protecting your data is our top priority. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), health data—and genetic data in particular—are considered special categories of personal data requiring enhanced protection (Article 9 GDPR). At mybody®, such data are processed for a specific purpose, exclusively to conduct and evaluate your test, and on the basis of your consent. They are not processed for other purposes without your consent.
Information security is organized according to ISO/IEC 27001, the internationally recognized standard for information security management systems. Your data is transmitted and stored in encrypted form. You are entitled to the rights of data subjects under the GDPR—particularly the right of access, rectification, and erasure. Details regarding storage duration, processing, and your rights are set out in the privacy policy.
The laboratory analyses are carried out at the medical specialist laboratory MVZ GANZIMMUN GmbH (Mainz), which is accredited according to DIN EN ISO 15189:2024 (DAkkS registration number D-ML-13151-01-00) and participates in external proficiency testing programs (including INSTAND e.V., RfB, UK NEQAS, and ERNDIM). Accreditation is the assessment of the technical and professional competence of the analyses by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS); the term accredited must be distinguished from certified (management system). What is the purpose of the science portal?
It makes the scientific basis of the tests transparent and verifiable. Each type of test has its own page with explanations of the markers, linked studies, methodology, and honest limitations. This makes it possible to understand what an evaluation is based on.
Are the tests a substitute for medical diagnostics?
No. The tests are intended for guidance and preliminary assessment. They do not provide a diagnosis and do not replace a medical examination or treatment. If you have symptoms or receive abnormal results, medical advice is decisive.
Where do the cited studies come from?
From verifiable sources such as PubMed, specialist journals, guidelines, and public authorities—each with the year and a link. Where professional associations take a cautious view of a method, this is clearly stated on the relevant page.
Which sample does each test require?
DNA tests use a saliva sample; nutrient, hormone, and intolerance tests use capillary blood from the fingertip; microbiome tests use a stool sample. Details and processing times are provided on the respective study and product page.
