Important information in advance

Please read these instructions carefully before you begin:

  • Take your blood sample to a post office branch on the day it is taken (do not drop it in a letterbox).
  • Store the sample in the refrigerator (4–8 °C, do not freeze!) until shipping .
  • The test is only suitable for people aged 18 and over .
  • Only perform the test after consulting your doctor if you

    - are pregnant or breastfeeding,

    - suffer from a blood clotting disorder or

    - you are taking anticoagulant medication.

  • Do not take a test if you have a blood-borne disease (e.g., hepatitis, HIV).
  • Fill all tubes included in the kit to the 0.5 ml mark .
  • Drink plenty of water before the blood draw and avoid coffee or sugary drinks to promote blood flow.
  • Activate your test as described in the enclosed instructions – without activation the laboratory cannot evaluate the sample.
  • If your test kit contains multiple tubes, repeat steps 1-1 for each tube.

Step 1: Preparation

  1. Read the entire instruction manual carefully.
  2. Prepare all materials: lancets, gauze and disinfectant swabs, sample tubes, plasters, safety bags and shipping bags.
  3. Open the email “Important for your test result: Please activate your test” , as you will need it after the sample has been taken.

Step 2 – Blood draw

  1. Pull the lid of the tube straight off (do not twist) and place it in the designated recess of the box so that it stands stably.
  2. Regulate blood circulation: Hold your hand under warm water for 1 minute, dry it off and move your arm in a circular motion 5-10 times.
  3. Disinfect the selected finger (preferably the index or middle finger) with the alcohol swab and let it dry briefly.
  4. Hold the blue and white lancet horizontally, twist the protective cap, pull it off and firmly place the lancet on the fingertip.
  5. Press firmly, remove the first drop of blood with a swab.
  6. Hold your hand slightly downwards and gently massage from the palm of your hand to the fingertip (do not squeeze!).
  7. Hold your finger over the tube and fill it to the 0.5 ml mark . If necessary, use a second lancet.
  8. Tap the tube lightly on the table to encourage blood to flow.
  9. Close the tube tightly until you hear a click.
  10. Turn it over slowly 4-5 times to mix the blood with the stabilizer.
  11. Cover the injection site with a plaster.

Step 3 – Registration & Shipping

  1. Place the sealed tube in the transparent safety bag and seal it carefully.
  2. Place the bag in the return envelope and seal it.
  3. Next, open the test activation email and follow the instructions to register your sample.
  4. Hand the envelope directly to a post office branch (do not drop it in a letterbox!).
  5. Once your test has been analyzed in the laboratory, you will be notified by email and can securely access your result online.
