About the Nutricare DNA Test
Understand your metabolism and why diets affect you differently
What benefits one person may do nothing for another. Metabolism, nutrient requirements, and tolerability are genetically different. The NutriCare DNA test is your nutrition advisor.
140 genetic variations from a saliva sample, 54 analysis reports in 8 chapters across 200 pages, plus an assessment of over 1,000 foods. Not a list of forbidden foods, but guidance—an end to:
- Guesswork when shopping
- Diet trends that don’t work for you
- Dietary supplements just in case
Nutrition can be so simple when you know your body.
Your DNA, or genes, determine the fundamental building blocks of your body—in other words, how it metabolizes carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, also known as “macronutrients,” and stores them as energy. They also determine your individual need for vitamins and minerals so that it can meet those needs as effectively as possible. In addition, your DNA influences how your body responds to certain nutrients and foods and how efficiently it can use them, which in turn can either strengthen or weaken it.
For example, specific SNPs could determine how well someone metabolizes caffeine, how sensitive they are to salt, or how efficiently the body absorbs vitamins such as B12 or D. By identifying nutrition-related sections of DNA, the DNA test can provide information about which eating habits are best suited to you.
Questions such as “What does a healthy lifestyle and a wholesome diet look like specifically for me?” can be answered with a DNA test for nutrition and metabolism.
