Insight into your vitamin D levels
Recognize what your body is missing
It is crucial that vitamin D levels in the body remain balanced, as both an overdose and a deficiency of vitamin D can lead to health problems.
A vitamin D test provides an effective way to determine vitamin D levels in the body and ensure that you are getting enough vitamin D without the risk of overdose.
It is recommended to have a vitamin D test done regularly to ensure that vitamin D levels in the body remain balanced.
Do you know your values?
Vitamin D deficiency is common, especially in the winter months when there is not enough UV light for our bodies to produce enough vitamin D.
This can quickly lead to a deficiency that can have various effects on our health (see symptoms).
80-90% of total vitamin D production occurs through UV radiation and sunlight.

Questions? We have the answers!
Why does my body need vitamin D?
Vitamin D is essential for the body, as every cell depends on it and needs the most important compounds of vitamin D2 and D3. Vitamin D2 is absorbed through food and only covers 10% of the requirement, while D3 is formed on the skin through exposure to sunlight and covers 90%. After formation, vitamin D is transported to the liver, where it is converted to 25-hydroxy vitamin D. This is then detected in our home test. Vitamin D is particularly essential for the improved absorption of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate and zinc in the intestine. It is therefore involved in many processes, such as bone metabolism, the formation of proteins and the control of many genes.
What do I get and how long does the test take?
The vitamin D self-test includes the following:
- 1 test cassette
- Instructions
- 2 lancets
- 1 buffer solution
- 1 alcohol pad
After the test has been performed, it takes about 5-10 minutes for the result to be available.
When should you take a test?
If you experience persistent symptoms such as tiredness, exhaustion, frequent susceptibility to infections or muscle and bone pain, you can carry out the rapid test at home at any time. The test is also suitable for diagnosing, treating or monitoring diseases such as rickets or osteomalacia. This allows you to check your vitamin D levels and take any further necessary steps.
What consequences can a vitamin D deficiency have?
If you do not counteract low vitamin D levels by increasing your activity in the sun or taking supplements, it can have a negative impact on your body. This can lead to decalcification and softening of the bones and a reduction in muscle strength. Such a deficiency can also cause more serious physical and mental illnesses such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, obesity, diabetes or depression. In addition, low vitamin D levels can promote complications during pregnancy and increase mortality. To avoid these consequences, a vitamin D deficiency can be detected and treated early with our rapid test. The test also offers other advantages.
